Keiko is a straight A student at her high school and a close, err... VERY close friend with Yusuke. She has also been attacked by nearly every monster that the crew has faced, including Hiei (before he joined Yusuke), and the Saint Beasts' Infected People.
She does find out about the Spirit Detective stuff and tells Yusuke that she wants to know why she was never told.
After the case of the Spirit Beasts (in which Keiko was attacked by zombies), Botan tells her of Yusuke's job as Spirit Detective. She demands why she was never told (it was because Yusuke didn't want her involved, though it happened anyway), so she insists that Yusuke confide in her about his cases.
